To explain the "and the pet store" reference:  If we win the Qualifiers and go straight to Nationals, Sara's kids get a turtle.  If we win the Nationals, they get 1 cat (one of Beth's many, to be precise!)  If we win the Olympics, they get 5 cats (again, many, if not all,  gladly donated by Beth.)
